We are a chapter of CHIP, a world-wide, non-profit organization, which was found by Dr. Hans Diehl in 1988. CHIP is a community based, and affordable, education program conducted by volunteers. It promotes a healthful lifestyle, based on a sound scientific approach. CHIP has had success with over 40,000 graduates, and the results have been published in major medical and professional journals. (See below)
Our local chapter is comprised of trained medical and non-medical volunteers in the Kirkland area of Washington. We are interested in achieving more enjoyment of life through a healthful lifestyle, and want to share our experience with others, in order to promote health in our community.
Along with the live interactions with the local volunteer staff, Dr. Hans Diehl, the founder of the CHIP program, is the main speaker in this dynamic, scientifically sound, and often humorous video lecture series. His pioneering work in lifestyle medicine includes directing research and education programs in the early days of the Pritikin Longevity Center in California. He is currently the director of the Lifestyle Medicine Institute in California.
Chip results have been reported in the following peer-reviewed journals:
